Nancy Neilsen, a native Californian is married with 6 children and 11 grandchildren. I attended Mt.San Antonio College where I completed the Early Childhood Program with administration components. I have taught 3 year olds during Sunday School for two years. I have been a pro-life counselor for five years and have taught preschool in the Lutheran School Sysytem for one year. I have taught kindgarten for nine years also in the Lutheran School System, working for a total of 37 years in the early childhood field.
Children are a gift from the Lord and they are to be treated as such! Each teacher is accountable to God for the way he/she lives and teaches. Children are an extension of their family and environment.The whole child therefore is the recipient of an early ministry. Attention is given to spiritual, emotional, social, physical, and cognitive needs.
As a reference tool, I ask myself if my ministry is what I would want for my children and grandchildren? If I can honestly answer "yes", then I am confident that my preschool and kindergarten classes meet the high standards that I have set before me in administering an early childhood program!
