Hello, my name is Harry Cypher and God has called me to be the seventh and eighth grade teacher of Faith Lutheran School.  In addition to being the Principal of the school, I teach science and physical education in grades 5-8.  I also teach science, social studies, math, and religion in grades 7&8.  I have been a teacher in Lutheran schools for 32 years and have loved every minute of my ministry.  I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Concordia Teachers College and a Master’s degree in educational administration from Concordia University.  I have been a principal for 16 of my 32 years of teaching.

I believe I have three roles as a teacher of seventh and eighth graders.  First is to challenge them to achieve the highest grades they can given their ability.  I do this through hard work and high standards.  Next I feel I must prepare them for high school giving them the work and study habits necessary to become independent learners who responsibly complete assignments and tasks.  Finally I believe God has called me to prepare young Christians to face the challenges they will meet in an increasingly non-Christian world.

I hope and pray that you will give me the opportunity to work with your child.
