Greetings!
Thank you for taking the time to inquire about our Early Childhood Center.
Faith Lutheran Preschool is a ministry of Faith Lutheran Church and School. This ministry is dedicated wholly to God.
The staff maintains an attitude of accountability to God as we minister to His most precious of blessings, little children.
We are an accredited and state licensed facility. Blessings to you as you further explore our center.
Nancy Nielsen, Director.
Who do we serve?
Children between the ages of 2 1/2 and 5 years of age.Our center has a kindergarten extension available to those
children turning 5 years old before December 1st.
Our license does not cover children not having the skill of using toilet facilities.
We do not discriminate due to race, or what we deem to be minor medical conditions requiring special accommodations.
We do however retain the right to evaluate individual circumstances to ensure that each child can be properly cared for at Faith.
A probationary period may be imposed which may or may not result in dis-enrollment.
Teacher/Child Ratio!
Our center can accommodate up to 35 children at one time. State law mandates a 12 to 1 ratio. We maintain a 10 to 1 or better ratio.

Our center is located on the property of Faith Lutheran Church, 9920 South Mills, Whittier California 90604.
We have two preschool classrooms. For small groups, we provide an adjoining play area outside.
For seven or more children we have a separate play area completely fenced. The restroom facilities are restricted to preschool use only.
Food Service.
Our staff provides two state approved snacks per day. the children bring their own lunches. We are happy to microwave meals for your convenience.
Off Site Trips!
Field trips are a wonderful addition to your child's education. they provide experiential learning. Examples could be The Children's Museum of La Habra, Amy's Farm in Ontario and a whale watch cruise. safety is our prime concern on these trips.
In-House Trips. ( to name but a few)
Deputy Broghan visits yearly. He is a Bull-Mastiff dog specializing in therapy for children under the auspices of the Los Angeles County Sheriffs' office.
Station 96 brings the fire truck at least once a year, an extremely popular event!
St.Jude's Trike-a-thon is a yearly event. we average a $2000 gift yearly to donate to this children's cancer hospital.
Valentine's Traveling Nature School visits with a host of animals including Matilda the Wallaby.
Our Philosophy.
Each Child is a special and unique gift from God. Each child is a part of a whole and that whole being his/her family.
The child, as a separate entity, is taught in developmentally appropriate fashion in areas of spiritual, emotional, physical, social and cognitive. The inclusion of the whole family is our secondary prime focus.
As ministers of God, we serve as avenues of support to our families. including but not limited to, spiritual, emotional and practical.
We believe each child, each family is chosen and sent to us by God. We believe this ministry to be a direct calling on our lives by God for His Divine Purpose.
